The ability to upgrade your hosting plans largely depends on the type of plan and the platform you are using. Here’s a breakdown of the different hosting options and their upgrade capabilities:
-
Web Hosting & Cloud Hosting:
- Users of Web Hosting and Cloud Hosting services have the flexibility to upgrade within their respective product ranges.
- Upgrades are available up to the maximum product offered in each category.
- This means that if you start with a basic plan, you can progressively move up to more advanced plans within the Web Hosting or Cloud Hosting offerings.
- When moving between offerings, like from Web Hosting to Cloud hosting, you will have to migrate your data from one place to another manually as no automatic options are available as of now to facilitate this.
-
Virtual Private Servers (VPS):
- VPS hosting offers even greater flexibility in terms of upgrades.
- Users can enhance their VPS with more resources than their initial allocation.
- This includes the ability to increase storage, bandwidth, and possibly other resources, even beyond the maximum plan provided on our Sales Pages. For example, if Cenchu has a maximum plan with 32GB RAM, upon exhausting it, you can contact the Sales department for an upgrade to 64GB RAM or even more. So, you can upgrade beyond the maximum plans without any issues.
-
Dedicated Servers:
- Upgrading a dedicated server is possible but comes with certain constraints.
- Unlike Web Hosting, Cloud Hosting, and VPS, upgrading a dedicated server will typically result in downtime.
- This downtime can be a minimum of 30 minutes, depending on the nature and extent of the upgrade.
While upgrade options are provided immediately in your client panel for some products, some products must be manually upgraded by one of our technical department members. So, if you don't see an upgrade button in the client panel, do contact the Support department.
